New Community Gathering Space a Welcome Addition

LANSDOWNE LANDING

Day project at the new Lansdowne Landing on April 23.

A new gathering spot will be opening this May in historic downtown Lansdowne, PA. Inspired from awesome outdoor gathering places like Philadelphia’s own The Porch or Spruce Street Harbor Park, the Lansdowne Landing will be a fun, festive gathering spot that will be open from 7 am to 10 pm, year round.

Already a vibrant community space, home to the popular Lansdowne Farmers Market and across from the highly anticipated Lansdowne Theatre, Lansdowne Landing will be augmented with comfortable seating and will host a robust schedule of events, from family-friendly fun to live music to food trucks and more. When not in use for events, the space will be a welcoming place for visitors to socialize, build community, and relax. Opening in May, the space will also feature a ground mural by Lansdowne native and Penn Wood alumni Brad Carney of the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program.

This project is the vision of Lansdowne Borough, Lansdowne Borough Council and the many citizens on the Lansdowne Landing Committees.

Part of the funding of the project will come from individuals in the community. In order to participate in making the Landing a success, citizen investors are encouraged to visit the crowd funding site and make a donation at citizinvestor.com/project/lansdowne-plaza-pilot-project.
